Who we are

We are a family company with 35 years of experience. We are located in the northern region of Portugal and operate in the main cluster of the Portuguese textile industry.

We continually invest in design, creativity and innovation in our processes to respond to current market needs.

2022

Conclusion of the company’s expansion works, now with a usable area of 7000 m2.

2021

Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Recycled Content Standard (RCS) is implemented to increase production capacity for recycled articles. ETFOR also begins to provide Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton.

2019

Installation of a photovoltaic production unit for self-consumption.

2015

Wins OCS (Organic Content Standard) certification.

2012

ETFOR obtains the following certifications: GOTS, STANDARD 100 by Oeko-tex, Class 1 and FAIRTRADE.

2004

The own brand – Play Up – is launched – a thriving domestic and international children’s brand.

1988

With a know-how of more than 10 years as fashion designers, Lúcia Lage and Artur Correia founded Etfor.
