Community impact
Our corporate responsibility policy is based on three key areas for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the United Nations General Assembly established: education and knowledge, environmental protection and social causes.
The company is located in a small village in Northern Portugal, which increases our concern for the local community. We want to promote the economic and social development of the region, so the priority is to generate job opportunities for the people who live near Etfor.
We organise internal environmental awareness actions (the importance of recycling and composting, water saving, and effective reduction of textile, paper and plastic waste, among others), as well as training to promote health and safety at work, information and cultural diversity.
We also provide financial support to local institutions such as care homes, social and cultural centres, schools and festival committees. Furthermore, we regularly help organisations dedicated to nature conservation through monetary, in-kind, or promotional support.
